Hermès: Jour d’Hermès
For the launch of Jour d’Hermès Parfum an ethereal brand film was developed for use across digital, retail and social media.
To capture the essence of the Parfum, Hermès newest women’s fragrance, inspiration was taken from a single moment of the early-morning: radiant light and the golden warmth of nature. Dawn rises with woody notes and a feminine energy – a mesmerizing potion.
Within the video and brand film, the joy of dawn is highlighted, leveraging the mist of the early morning and the orange-hued light.
Our hero character, filmed by acclaimed photographer-turned-director Ryan McGinley, captures a red-head, au natural. Throughout the film, we sought to reinforce the Hermès brand color of orange. Orange-toned flowing hair, orange autumn leaves, and orange hued misty light through which we see her prance and pose and run. And to contribute to the ethereal appeal and drama of the film, we enhanced the live action footage, adding mist and undulating soft fog. We augmented the footage by pushing the warm orange hues to feel moody, yet inviting.
The resulting brand film is as refreshing and soft as the scent itself.
